
Introduced in December 2005 Bologna Motor Show , [1 ] and is built on the Magyar Suzuki plant in Hungary . The expected production volume is 60,000 units per year, one third of them are sold by Fiat and 2/3 of them are sold by Suzuki, which bears the mark as the SX4. The project was created by Giorgetto Giugiaro 's Italdesign Giugiaro studio, and is an alternative to mini multi-purpose vehicles (MPV), which are more " aggressive " look.
It was the official car of the Winter Olympic Games of 2006 . Since the car is four wheel drive , it is a 4x4. As 4x4 is 16 , the car is named Sedici ( pronounced [se ː ditʃi] [2]), which means " sixteen " in Italian . With the push of a button, the driver can switch between 4x2 and 4x4 modes of transmission . The car also has electronic stability control (ESC) for the list of options and a particulate filter diesel (DPF) is a standard feature . In November 2006 was the second best selling SUV in the Italian market , and in June 2007 was the best selling vehicle .
